JOHOE My most treasured memory has to be when a friend agreed on going to the Greatest Hits tour with me. A day later she sent me an e-mail, I cry whenever I read it. At that time I was feeling rather down and in the e-mail she wrote that she had noticed. She told me to enjoy life because life is beautiful and that it's worth it to enjoy. We'd have lots of fun at the concert, she wrote with conviction. The thing however that stands out is the following sentence, she wrote: I'm still enjoying the look in your eyes that you had when I said that I was going to the Westlive concert with you. She didn't even know how to spell Westlife but she would go, just for me. I then knew that I had a very special friend. She still is A VERY SPECIAL FRIEND!! Josien
sparky07 Westlife have had a special song for every moment of my life in the last 10 years. When I had my daughter who needed surgery over 2yrs, they were there for me on the CD player in hospital, when I had surgery, they were in my walkman, when my dad got ill, they brought me comfort and helped me through sleepless nights on the MP3 player. When my son was born, he was humming their tunes by a year old! Now he's 3, he adores them. He knows all the words, even to old albums. Out shopping he hears them and shouts "MUMMY WESTLIFE ARE SINGING FOR YOU"! He cannot wait for his first concert! The boys have helped me through so much, they are always a great support through their wonderful music. Thanks lads, your amazing xxxx Jo x
AngelByrneFeehily Hard to pick one memory, as I've got 10 years filled with them. Highlight being meeting them, the show I've seen and of course Croke Park, but a very personal memory is listening to 'You Light Up My Life' with my best friend from Brazil when I first met her in Italy, we just sat on the bed eating chocolate, me filling her in about the latest Westlife news like we'd been together like that for years. Without Westlife we never would have met, and now whenever I hear that song I'm back there with her, even when we're on different continents. The friends I met through Westlife are the best friends in the world, and along with all the Westlife memories brought me something for life!
jodieluvzshane I've never seen them in concert or been lucky enough to meet them. But the moment that sticks in my mind most is being sat in my lounge room watching Greatest Hits DVD. My hip hop loving brother had his hip hop loving friends over (who were giving me absolute hell). Written In The Stars was playing, I was trying my hardest not to cry while watching it. My brother told me in front of his mates that I should be proud of supporting a band that meant so much and could bring out that emotion, gave me a hug and turned it up louder. That was it - the tears were falling.
mfeehilyfan There are so many Westlife memories for me... EVERY time I meet them, seeing Mark on his Birthday this year, all the TV shows and concerts I've been to... but the one that really stands out has to be Croke. From the build up while standing in the queue with friends, to the concert itself. And what made it even better was that I was stood right in the centre of the front row, so I could see all the joy and emotion in their faces as they performed. They looked so proud on that stage, putting on the best show ever. And I'm sure if you asked the lads what THEIR most significant memory was, I'm sure they would say Croke, so with over 80,000 people standing behind me, I feel so lucky to have been there to celebrate with them... and those memories will stay with me forever!

jennybrown wrote... Thanks guys! I couldn't believe it when i read her comment- i didn't mean to be soooo sarcastic on my reply back but reading back it was quite funny- lol It is just common sense to look at the weather when ur going to an open air venue but it was her slating westlife like that that annoyed me- she's not even a fan so y bother even coming on here just to moan about something that isn't the guys thought! and calling the guys greedy is another thing- how dare she?! after reading the guys autobiography i appreciate even moreso how many people work behind the scenes and they need their wages paying. The guys aren't in Westlife for the money, they're in it to make good music and please their fans (as they said themselves in their book)- and as she's not one of them anyway.............. .... posted 1 year ago
bignorgirl2 wrote... how pathetic can a person be.what are you on siobhanc blaming westlife for the weather.as a mother you should have a bit of common sense and dress your son according to the weather conditions.grow up woman posted 1 year ago
worldofourown123 wrote... Well said Jennybrown. What is she like??? I cant believe she can even put that message on here!! A very immature woman who didn't even think to take a jacket and appropiate clothing to a concert (especially for her son). Of course its Westlifes fault they decide the weather everyday dont they!!! Ive read some strange messages on here before but that just beats the rest!!! Very funny!! XX posted 1 year ago
joanne1971 wrote... Good 4 u jennybrown, i totally agree with u, i know us proper westlife fans look upon the lads as gods (sex gods) but they don't control the weather thats up to him upstairs, so as for siobhanc gettin wet, go wring yr knickers out instead of gettin them in a twist & next time u go perhaps u might use yr noggin & take a brolly. As for their conscience, it's clear cos they did'nt let their real fans down as they were the ones who stayed. At least yr 9 yr old has good taste in music. Here's a tip if u want to take yr son again , go to an INDOOR ARENA . This site is for westlife fans not for people like you so go whinge elsewhere. posted 1 year ago
jennybrown wrote... Theres this funny little program that usually comes on after the news- it doesn't really last for 5 mins, I don't know if anyone has actually heard of it, it's what is known as a WEATHER FORECAST!!!!!
I'm sorry to be soo sarcastic but if you knew u we're going to a stadium like that then why the hell didn't u check the weather and then dress appropriately- you know a few layers of clothing, waterproof jacket, scarf - it seems a bit obvious to me.
So don't come on here and slate Westlife like that. Unless Westlife were backstage doing some sort of raindance its not their fault!!! posted 1 year ago
SiobhanC wrote... The concert going ahead in Pearse Stadium Galway was disgraceful. I brought my 9 year old son who was so excited but we had to leave after Shane Ward having been soaked to the skin and he was shaking from cold and couldn't endure it anymore. I belive others were treated for hypothermia so I am glad I left when I did. I hope you enjoy spending your money lads and your conscience doesn't bother you too much because of the money we spent just to get soaked and go home early and all of the sorely disappointed youngsters who missed your performance. I was never a fan of your music but thought that as people you had more class. What a sad reflection of your greed this was. posted 1 year ago
